Designed to handle the high temperatures generated when cutting exotic alloys and tough materials, New X-51™ Bi-Metal Bandsaw Blades from Simonds International last longer than regular M42 blades reducing blade replacement costs and blade changeover frequency. X-51 Bandsaw Blades feature M51 tooth tips to provide longer blade life cutting through cast iron, tool steel, die steel, stainless steel, nickel based alloys, titanium, Inconel and other exotic alloys. With its superior combination of cobalt and tungsten at the cutting edge combined with a fatigue-resistant blade backer, X-51 is designed for high resistance to frictional heat failure at the tooth tip. Steel service centers and production cutting operations will find the X-51 blades perfect for longer runs and cutting of large cross sections and high-temperature alloys. X-51 blades assist users in their quest to "Never Yield To Steel". Simonds' X-51 blades are available in three blade widths of 1", 1-1/4" and 1-1/2" and come in a variety of tooth pitch configurations from 2-3, 3-4 and 4-6 teeth per inch for maximum operator flexibility based upon the materials being cut in their particular setting. The X-51 Bi-Metal Bandsaw Blades are available with Simonds' patented Sine-Wave® technology which provides an aggressive broaching action in the cut, enhancing cutting ability, reducing work time and increasing blade life. It incorporates a series of "ramps" on the back edge of bandsaw blades, which allows bandsaw machines to exert more force into a cut without increasing machine pressure. The "rocking" motion of SineWave ensures less tooth-to-work piece contact which increases penetration for faster cutting.
